As a Senior AI/ML Engineer at Returnalyze, you'll be the thought leader and technical architect behind the AI models and algorithms that power our returns prevention platform. You'll design, build, and deploy machine learning systems that analyze massive datasets from Fortune 500 retailers to predict return likelihood, identify behavioral patterns, and generate actionable insights that save millions in retail losses.
Working at the intersection of cutting-edge AI and retail analytics, you'll develop sophisticated models that process customer behavior, product attributes, and transaction data to deliver predictive insights. You'll build scalable ML pipelines, optimize model performance, and translate complex algorithmic outputs into business-ready analytics that our platform delivers to enterprise customers.
As a senior member of our AI-first engineering team, you'll leverage the latest advances in machine learning, deep learning, and generative AI while maintaining our commitment to production-ready, enterprise-grade solutions. You'll collaborate closely with our product and engineering teams to ensure our AI capabilities directly address real retail challenges and deliver measurable ROI for our customers.

● AI/ML Innovation:Build software using LLMs to uncover insights and generate recommendations from terabytes of retail customer data. Design, implement, and optimize machine learning models for returns prediction, customer behavior analysis, and retail analytics, ensuring high accuracy and scalability.
● Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with product managers, data engineers, and front-end developers to translate business requirements into AI solutions and integrate models into our SaaS platform.
● Model Performance: Monitor, evaluate, and continuously improve model performance in production environments, implementing A/B testing and feedback loops for ongoing optimization.
● Research & Innovation: Stay current with latest developments in AI/ML, particularly in retail analytics and e-commerce applications, and apply cutting-edge techniques to enhance our platform capabilities.
● Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in machine learning, AI, or data science roles, with demonstrated expertise in building production ML systems.
● AI/ML Specialization: Hands-on experience with supervised/unsupervised learning, deep learning, natural language processing, and modern AI techniques, including LLMs and generative AI.
● Analytics Foundation: Deep understanding of statistics, data analysis, and experimental design, with experience handling large-scale datasets and complex analytical challenges.
● Retail/E-commerce Background: Strongly preferred experience in retail, e-commerce, or consumer analytics, with understanding of customer behavior, product data, and business metrics.
● Engineering Practices: Proficiency in Git, collaborative development, automated testing, and experience with data engineering tools and practices.
● Communication: Excellent ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and business stakeholders.
● Education: Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
