What You’ll Do

Returnalyze is the first AI platform that identifies and prevents retail returns before they happen.What You’ll Do

As a data engineer, you will be responsible for designing a modern ETL system and collaborating with fellow engineers on building out enterprise production grade data structures for scaling out the Returnalyze platform. Additionally you will be responsible for improving the performance of the ETL system and will be involved in optimizing the Returnalyze LLM.

Key Requirements

  • Software Engineer generalist background (1-3 years for entry, 3+ mid)
  • Python, SQL experience
  • Experience with Snowflake
  • Experience working with REST apis
  • Experience designing ETL systems
  • Cloud Experience (AWS/GCP)

Preferred Skills

  • Experience building scalable Enterprise SAAS data platforms
  • Experience with machine learning and operations (ML Ops)
  • Experience with Springboot/Kotlin
  • Experience with Terraform
  • Retail domain knowledge and experience building in the retail space

This is not an inbound role. There are no warm leads handed to you. You build pipeline from scratch through cold calls, cold emails, and LinkedIn outreach — and you get better at it every week.

Daily Responsibilities

  • Prospect into VP and C-suite buyers at fashion, apparel, and footwear retailers
  • Execute personalized multi-channel outreach across email, phone, and LinkedIn
  • Research accounts and find the specific angle that earns a reply
  • Book qualified discovery meetings and hand off to the AE team
  • Hit weekly activity targets and contribute to a culture of accountability
  • Continuously refine your messaging based on what’s working

About the Role

As a Marketing & Communications Intern at Returnalyze, you’ll work directly with our CMO to support high‑impact storytelling, brand building, and go‑to‑market execution. This role is hands‑on, fast‑moving, and perfect for someone who wants to learn how modern SaaS marketing works inside a growing retail technology company.

What You’ll Work On

Content Creation & Storytelling – You’ll help craft clear, compelling content across channels, from social posts and drip emails to customer stories and event messaging. You’ll learn how to translate complex ideas into simple, engaging narratives that resonate with retailers.

Marketing Operations & Execution – You’ll support day‑to‑day marketing activities including campaign coordination, asset organization, website updates, and tracking performance metrics. You’ll help keep projects moving and ensure our messaging stays consistent and on brand.

Communications Support – You’ll assist with internal and external communications, including drafting announcements, prepping materials for leadership, and helping shape Returnalyze’s voice across touchpoints. You’ll learn how to communicate with clarity, confidence, and purpose.

Research & Insights – You’ll gather competitive intel, industry trends, and retail insights to help inform messaging and strategy. You’ll learn how to turn research into actionable recommendations that support marketing decisions.

Event & Campaign Support – You’ll help prepare materials for conferences, webinars, and customer-facing initiatives — from slide prep to social promotion to post-event follow‑up. You’ll see how campaigns come together end‑to‑end.
